“God is Doing a Reset”

While in prayer, the Lord spoke to me that the month of April—and continuing into the summer months—would be a season of reclaiming lost time. Specifically, He said He is doing a prophetic RESET.

The word “reset,” means: “to set again, adjust, or fix in a new or different way.” Bear in mind that reset is not just a natural adjustment—this is a supernatural recalibration. God is stepping into timelines, seasons, and situations that have seemed delayed, disrupted, or even lost, and He is setting them again according to His original intent.

God then gave me a prophetic sign of confirmation in my own life. When my wife and I first got married, we sold a piece of property, and she used part of that money to buy me a Rolex watch. I had never owned anything that extravagant. Sixteen years ago, after God miraculously healed me from seven mini strokes, we were faced with thousands of dollars in medical bills. We made the decision to sell the watch to help pay the debt. I didn’t think much about it anymore. It was just one of those things lost to necessity.

I may have forgotten about my watch, but God did not. He never forgets what you lost in a previous season. After the Lord spoke to me that we were entering a new season of reset when we are reclaiming lost time, something unexpected happened. The man to whom I sold the watch asked to meet me for lunch. He placed the watch in my hands and said, “I want you to have it back.”

No transaction. No negotiation. Just restoration. It had been RESET. And suddenly, the Lord spoke to me, “This is what I am doing for My people.” This act of generosity was not just about a watch. This was a sign. A prophetic picture. A declaration from heaven of that which was lost in one season was not gone forever. God is able to bring it back restored, renewed, and RESET.

This is exactly what He is doing for you. God is repackaging lost years into moments of divine momentum and explosive breakthrough. Time that felt wasted will not remain fruitless. Seasons that felt empty will not remain void. He is compressing what should have taken years into moments of acceleration. I prophesy to you that every delay is turning into acceleration. Every lost season is about to pay dividends.

David experienced the season of the reset in 1 Samuel 30. He and his men returned home to Ziklag and discovered everything was gone. Their families had been taken captive, and the city was burned with fire. His men were so grieved they spoke of stoning him. This was not the end of David’s story, and it is not the end of yours.

“David encouraged himself in the Lord his God” (1Sa. 30:6).

David had history with God. You, too, have history with God. The same God Who brought you through before will do it again. God spoke a word to David, giving him instructions about what he was to do.

“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all” (1Sa. 30:8).

Notice that God gave David a prophetic instruction, “Pursue!” David could not just sit at Ziklag and believe that his family and riches would be restored, he had to act. He had to do something! Listen for God’s instructions because your obedience will bring forth complete recovery.

“18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. 19 And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all” (1Sa. 30:18-19).

What you thought was behind you, God is bringing back around. It is coming back with clarity, with purpose, and with divine alignment. He is disrupting and breaking the cycles that have held you back. Patterns of delay, frustration, and disappointment are being dismantled. What has followed you in past seasons will not follow you into this next one. You are being RESET.

When a computer begins to malfunction, the most effective solution is often a reset. A reset returns the system to its original design, its manufacturer’s settings, so that the system will function the way that it was intended. The Lord is doing this right now in your life. He is not just adjusting a few areas; He is restoring you back to His original intent.

What feels like interruption is actually a divine intervention. What feels like delay is actually a divine design. God is not behind schedule; His timing is precise.

This season, He is resetting and re-aligning everything. Even the things you thought were permanently lost are coming back to you. Not necessarily the way they left, but in an even greater way that reflects His redemption. Because when God restores, He doesn’t just give back what was lost, He upgrades it and sets it in proper order for your current season.

Think about the significance of the holidays that we have just celebrated: Passover and the Easter season—the greatest RESET in history. What generations could not accomplish through the continual sacrifice of animals, Jesus fulfilled once and for all through His blood. What gallons upon gallons of animal blood could not complete, the blood of the spotless Lamb finished in a single moment.

Because of the cross, you are not defined by your past failures. You are not bound by that which once held you captive. Everything has been made new. Do not disqualify yourself because of former disappointments and assume that what was lost is gone forever. God is proving, even now, that He is the Restorer of time, the Redeemer of seasons, and the One who makes all things new. HE IS YOUR RESET GOD! YOUR RESET IS NOT COMING, IT IS HERE!
