"A Season of Rapid Acceleration"

"A Season of Rapid Acceleration"

"Have you noticed how quickly time seems to be passing by?" I said to my wife as we marveled at how the holidays had come and gone in the blink of an eye. "We are now on the brink of spring. Time is flying." Immediately as I spoke those words the Holy Spirit quickened me, prompting me to seek the Lord. He revealed to me that we have entered a time of rapid acceleration. Things that were once stalled, delayed, or held back are now right at our doorstep. It's happening now. Don't let yourself be distracted!

While the enemy’s plan is to steal your time and to tie you up with distractions, God’s plan is for you to stay alert. I heard the Lord declare, "Wake up from your slumber. This is your appointed time. You are stepping into your purpose and destiny. There's no time to waste."

Those who possess spiritual discernment, have sensed the warfare that is now raging in both the natural and supernatural realms. This is the season that God is extending His grace for you to move with great speed and effectiveness to accomplish His purpose.

Recently, I have been preaching a series at my church entitled "Boots on the Ground," and how God is raising up the warrior-bride. He is saying “Playtime is over!” It’s time for you to take your rightful authority and push back the enemy. I prophesy to you that you will reclaim the territory that was once lost or forfeited to the enemy.

"And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: 18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red Sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt" (Exo. 13:17–18, KJV).

The word "harnessed" is translated from the Hebrew word "chamush," and means "armed." They were armed for war as a mighty army, but they weren’t ready for combat. God could not allow them to travel the quickest route, knowing that if they saw war, they would go back to Egypt. So, they were led on the longer route. In this season of great acceleration, you no longer have the option of going the long route. You will do what took others decades to accomplish in a matter of months. Every moment counts. Although the enemy is lined against you for battle, you are equipped to emerge victoriously.

One night, while in prayer, I heard the Lord whisper the word "overturn" to me. Though He had spoken this word to me before in 2018, its meaning had escaped me. He then led me to study about Gideon.

As I studied, I heard Him say,

"I am birthing warriors from the weary. Weariness and hopelessness are breaking off of you. It will be as a re-birth. You will stand in your place of battle and rejoice at the overturn of the enemy's plots. Don't be afraid; I am with you and will fight for you."

The word "overturn" is defined as "to destroy the power of; overthrow; defeat; vanquish; to turn over on its side, face, or back; to upset."

Gideon was hidden in the darkness of the winepress, fear gripping his heart as he tried to protect what little harvest he had left from the Midianites. It was in this moment of vulnerability that a figure appeared before him; it was Jesus. He declared, "You are a mighty man of valour.” I heard the Lord say to tell you, “Like with Gideon, I am CALLING YOU OUT OF HIDING.”

Gideon eventually sounded a trumpet that echoed through the land, calling the men of Israel to gather with him. 32,000 answered the call, but they were still outnumbered by the Midianite army, which consisted of 135,000 men. God's voice rang out to Gideon, proclaiming, "The people that are with thee are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands” (Jdg. 7:2, KJV).

Notice that God said to Gideon that there “are too many for Me.”  I am sure Gideon was in disbelief, considering the vast difference in numbers. He watched as God pruned his army. Thousands of men turned and walked away, leaving Israel with just 300 faithful warriors, but that was enough. God loves to take the foolish things to confound the wise.

The Lord allowed Gideon one final reassurance before confronting his oppressors. He overheard a Midianite soldier’s dream and its interpretation, which foretold that Gideon would overturn the Midianite army and triumph over them.

"This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon…For unto his hand hath God delivered Midian (Jdg. 7:14, KJV).

God will cause even your enemy to bear witness that the hand of the Lord is upon your life. Gideon strategically divided the 300 men into three groups of 100. Each man was equipped with a torch with a pitcher, and a trumpet. Gideon’s army then surrounded the enemy camp from three different directions in the middle of the night, under the cover of darkness. At Gideon's signal, the 300 men blew their trumpets and shattered their pitchers, causing the flames of their torches to blaze. Then they shouted, "The sword of the Lord and of Gideon."

"And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled" (Jdg. 7:21, KJV).

As they stood each one in their position, the enemy "ran, and cried, and fled." There was a SUPERNATURAL OVERTURN. God gave them the victory, just as He is preparing to do for you. Come out of hiding! Break free from weariness! Stand in your place of battle! God is leading you on the fast track because the time of acceleration is here.
